Those were the days, they were unstoppable... It was as if we can't live without anything Microsoft. From software to hardware... they were everywhere literary.
Alas... greed and laziness has took it's toll on Microsoft. They began coming out with crapwares, bugged tools, un-innovative designs etc. Look who took this market opportunity... APPLE (damn!)!!!
They started to bring in stuff which are more trendy and fashionable at first, but no matter how in the technological world, style MUST meet function, so Microsoft was still the market leader.
Then as the market and trend move to more fashionable product, they started to put functionality in their products. They are now faster, fashionable, stylish, more function able, more & more user friendly, slightly more affordable, durable and applicable then Microsoft. Apple fan base grew uncontrollably.
I'm not anti-Apple, I have to say Apple has done great market planning and advertising, full credit on that. They started by building more fan-base, then they creep into the market (iTunes on Win). They also use lots of celebrity and product placements on their product especially the iPod. So effectively that people tend to refer MP3 Players as iPod (like saying colgate instead of toothpaste).
Macs, man... that machine has came up from a long way. Now everyone ones one! It use to be just Designers and people who doesn't use heavy applications like gaming. Now, they have Intel Chips and worse.... their new OS, Leopard... CAN RUN WINDOWS?! WTHOMGROFLCOPTER! (With help from third-party) Now Safari (Apple's IE browser) can run on WINDOWS too! >_< WOWeee.... That's not all... Electronic Arts (EA) has announce they are gonna start to release the latest games on MACs! Such as NFS:Carbon, C&C 3 etc... Man, with Mac's graphic and display.... is this... THE END?!
Look at the hOohAah bout the latest up and coming iPhone. DaMn~ Look at the hype it has created! NOW EVERYONE WANTS ONE (with airAsia jingle). No one seen it or test it... but everyone is so excited bout it and they are so positive is gonna be a hell-va-of a product! But... seriously, who can blame them? I... not long ago became not so skeptical bout Apple's product, cause what they say, they DO... what they promise, they DELIVER! Look at their New Generation of iPods, thier latest MacBooks & Macs, compare to their previous generations and u'll understand what i mean.
SOOOO... people of Microsoft... STAY FIRM! You guys are still the market leader! Be innovative and make good use of your resources. Stop going around the bushes and get straight to the point! Your rivals has learn lots from you and make sure they dun make the mistakes. YOU guys should do the same.... LEARN FROM them.... see what's good you can learn or stuff that can kick their sorry @@$$3s back to where they belong....
